The Florida Engineering Foundation has provided financial support to Florida MATHCOUNTS for many years, but believed the outstanding program needed additional support. With a unanimous vote from the Trustees, annual support was nearly doubled this year and is now $12,000!!
While the additional funds will help with general program costs, $2,000 is specifically designated for appreciation gifts for the team coaches. MATHCOUNTS would not be the tremendous program it is without the dedicated work and commitment of these great teachers! Coaches were given Florida MATHCOUNTS tumblers and treated to certificates to the in-hotel Starbucks! Included in our annual support, FEF continues to present a $500 check and chalkboard award to the Florida MATHCOUNTS Teacher of the Year.
